Communications provider KCOM has strengthened its partnership with Microsoft to provide Office 365 as part of its service offering; cementing the Hull-based company’s position as the region’s go-to expert in cloud-based IT solutions.

Office 365 is a cloud-based platform allowing employees to collaborate quickly and securely wherever they are, making use of cutting edge cloud technology to provide customers with the best possible service.

“It’s also great news for local businesses as they will now be able to benefit from Microsoft’s global reach while also enjoying KCOM’s locally-based support. This means companies will always have access to the latest and best business software available, but also have expert help and advice on their doorstep from a trusted local partner.”

Supplied by KCOM, Office 365 gives businesses the Microsoft applications they are familiar with complete with all the latest features they need to do their job effectively. From Outlook to OneDrive, Word, Excel and SharePoint, Office 365 gives managers everything they need to run their business.

Office 365 offers OneDrive or SharePoint Online allowing employees to save documents to the cloud and always have the latest versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, email and calendars available through automatic backup and syncing.

And because it’s cloud-based, Office 365 works across multiple devices and operating systems providing instant access to the latest shared files and documents, enabling colleagues to work together better in real time from multiple locations.

The partnership between KCOM and Microsoft in Hull and East Yorkshire is an extension of a successful relationship between the two on a national level for several years. KCOM was one of the first companies in the UK to be awarded a position as Microsoft Cloud Service Provider (CSP) partner in 2014.

Hull and East Yorkshire businesses will now be able to incorporate Microsoft’s Office 365 into the range of communications services, such as full fibre Lightstream broadband and phone lines, they already receive from KCOM and because it’s a monthly subscription service it can quickly be scaled up to meet demand when a business needs to quickly increase capacity.

KCOM’s in-house Microsoft specialists can organise hassle-free migration from old IT platforms, guaranteeing a seamless transition to enhanced cloud services.
